Lobbying activites in response to the DCLG's Cohesion Guidance
V4CE is lobbyinig hard for changes to the DCLG's Cohesion Guidance for Funders draft proposals and is encouraging others to get involved too.
To faciliate participation three regional consultations events have been organised in conjunction with the National Equality Partnership. The first event was in Leicester on 1st May. While two other events were held in Bristol on 8th May and Leeds on 15th May.
The events generated publicity in Third Sector magazine. Arjumand Kazmi, V4CE Head of Policy, has also had a letter about the issues published by the Bolton News.
Again in conjunction with the NEP, a Cohesion Guidance briefing has been published along with a draft letter for individuals or organisations to consider sending to their local Member of Parliament.
V4CE has worked with partner organisation the Black South West Network to create an online survey to discover the impact on local groups of the Guidance.
The DCLG's consultation ends on 26th May and therefore it is important that anybody wishing submit a response or contribute to the V4CE/NEP response should do so as soon as is possible by contacting Arjumand Kazmi on 020-7843 6129 or arjumand@voice4change-england.co.uk
