The Minister arrives and is greeted by BEMCCF's Director Sahdia Warraich.
He was then introduced to staff and guests.
The Minister then toured the lunchtime tables to chat with representatives from projects across Newham.
He than met with a group of the attendees to discuss issues of pressing concern for black and minority ethnic service delivery organisations.
The discussion lasted for one hour and the issues covered included Cohesion Guidance and the barriers to small BME organisations competing in the commissioning of local services.
